  • How can I become a member of the Co-operative and what does it cost?

    By contacting the Co-operative's 'Membership Co-Ordinator', a membership application will be immediately forwarded to you. The cost of membership is A$250.00, which gives the new member a holding of 250 stock units.

  • Can anyone join as a member of the Co-operative?

    No. A person must be actively engaged in a rural industry as a customer producer and supply animals for slaughter to the Co-operative, (a minimum throughput of 1,000 kilo's 'Hot Standard Carcase Weight' per year is required).

  • What happens if I decide I no longer wish to be a member?

    You simply advise the Co-operatives 'Membership Co-Ordinator' that you no longer wish to be a member and your shares will be repurchased at the original value of A$1.00 per unit (A$250.00 per holding).

  • What do I gain from being a member of the Co-operative?

    • Producers and Customer/Operators are able to use the Co-operatives state of the art processing facilities, without the extensive capital outlay in owning ones own processing plant
    • Members share in the success of the Co-operative by profit sharing through direct consignment incentives, dividends and rebates.
    • Up to date industry information is supplied to Co-operative members.
    • Being part of a group of like minded individuals who fully support the future of the Australian livestock industry within the Co-operative concept.
