The Northern Co-operative Meat Company Limited is a 100% Australian owned company with over 1500 Producer and Operator Members. The Co-operative is managed and staffed by a highly trained workforce, dedicated to providing its products, services and support, in a cost- efficient and professional manner. NCMC is proud of both it’s national and international first class reputation for this, as well as its reputation for and commitment to new technology and innovation.

As a service provider, the Co-operative will continue to create opportunities for existing and new businesses in Casino and the region. The ability for different operators/customers to process their livestock at our plants, to a variety of domestic and export markets, continually widens the range and style of livestock being sought, thus giving a far greater scope of options for producers in the area. Similarly, this also assists in providing a very fair and competitive market place for livestock, which must always be of benefit to Producers.

The Co-operative is governed by a Board of Directors who all reside in the region and are involved in the industry. As a major employer in the area (approximately 1,000 employees), the Co-operative is very conscious of its responsibility and commitment to local communities. The Co-operative annually supports and benefits many local charities and events within the region.

By utilizing its contacts and reputation within the industry, the Co-operative plays an important role in dealing with Local, State and Federal Governments on a variety of issues and matters which can be influential and important for the success of Producer and Operator Members and the local community.
